Maria Bradford is an award-winning chef and author. Her debut restaurant, Shwen Shwen has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and the Guide’s Opening of Year, and it was named one of Conde Nast’s Best Restaurants in the World. Maria’s food celebrates Sierra Leone’s rich culinary heritage, reinterpreting the food from her childhood home in Freetown and its rich, earthy and vibrant flavours. Shwen Shwen redefines fine dining through Maria’s distinctive Afro-fusion menu while honouring the storytelling and spice of Sierra Leone.
